The TrailHunters YJ
It’s picked up the name Mona Lisa in the shop recently, but has many nick names. (Felon, Resumé, Noise Complaint, YJ from Hell, and Holy grail) This is the jeep that started it all for TrailHunters. Without this rig, none of this would be possible or even be an idea. This jeep was acquired back in 2015 in a fully stock dealership condition and has been built upon since then. At first it was a 2.5 inch lift with 33’s, some body armor, simple interior and cage, and was wheeled in the mud way too much. In early 2020, it had tons put under it, linked with coilovers, stretched, and on 40’s. It was driven everyday and all over, wheeled all over Florida, and 1 year later went to Windrock for its first out of state trip. A year after wheeling several east coast parks and lots of trail damage, it got a rear tube chassis and was slowly becoming more of a trailer queen. Fast forward another year forward, it was picked up to become a part of RockStar Garage, and has traveled an insane amount of miles from mid 2023 to 2024. It is now a very tastefully, simple, and fast ultra 4 inspired build. Read below more an in depth build sheet and more pictures.
